Abstract：Spatial differences and forming mechanism of industrial transfer in 18 cities of Henan Province are studied by standard deviation, coefficient of variation, Herfindahl-Hirschman index, cluster analysis, ESDA, regression analysis and other methods. The results show that: (1) The total amount and absolute difference of Henan's undertaking transfer were widening, especially after 2010. The relative difference and concentration increased significantly from 2007 to 2009, then decreased apparently in 2010, then increased quickly until the slow decrease in 2012. And government played an important role in it. (2) Zhengzhou and Luoyang have always been areas that undertake more industrial transfer, and the regions which undertake industrial transfer faster are Jiaozuo, Anyang, Xinxiang and Shangqiu. (3) In the spatial pattern, a high concentration of industrial transfer has been formed in Zhengzhou, Kaifeng and Luoyang. But the spatial agglomeration trend is not remarkable. (4) The and industrial structure have a negative effect on the transfer of industry, while market attractiveness, technical innovation, human capital, combined effect, cost factors, degree of openness, industrial supporting capacity, level of economic development and traffic location have a positive effect on industrial transfer.
