On the November 5th and 6th, 2016,The 8th Annual High-End Forum of Studies of Yellow River & Islamic culture and the Yellow River civilization Conference was successfully held on the second floor of the administration building,JinMing campus,Hennan University.This conference was sponsored by Henan University, Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China and The Geographical Society of China branch of Yellow River,and was undertaken by Key Research Institute Of Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development and The Collaborative & Innovative Center of Yellow River Civilization Inheritance and Modern Civilization Construction.The theme of this conference is “Hui islamic culture and Yellow River Civilization”,All levels of leaders from government,experts,scholars,entrepreneurs representatives of more than 80 Hui, Han, Yi, Kirgiz nationality groups of more than 30 units from all over the country attended the conference. The conference also attracted American and Pakistani students and folk scholars from all over the world,who focused on the research of the Silk Road Economic Belt and Islam.The conference received more than 60 papers totally.This conference was appreciated by leaders of China because of it’s distinct theme and outstanding features.

Junjian Sun,vice president of Henan University,Shuxiang Liu ,former deputy director of State Administration for Religious Affairs of P.R.C,Daisheng Tie,former deputy director of the National People's Congress Standing Committee of Henan Province,Ruiqin Jia , director of Minorities Affairs Committee of Henan Province, Fayuan Gao，president of the Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China and former secretary of the Party Committee of Yunnan University, attended the opening ceremony.The opening ceremony was hosted by Changhao, Miao the executive director of the Key Research Institute of Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development of Henan university.

In the salutatory oration,Junjian Sun ,the vice president of Henan university,said that carried out cross-civilization and interdisciplinary dialogue between Yellow River Civilization and Islamic Civilization, Studies of Yellow River and Hui Studies would improve the total research level of the two integrated disciplines and offered important theoretical basis for our country to implement the great strategy of “One Belt And One Road”.
Fayuan Gao President read the congratulatory letter which wrote by Lichen Bai,who was the honorary chairman of the Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China and the former vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.Bai said that I was very glad to hear that the Annual High-End Forum of the Studies of Yellow River& Islamic culture and the Yellow River Civilization Conference would hold in KaiFeng and held by the Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China and the Key Research Institute of Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development jointly. Yellow River Civilization and Islamic Civilization had outstanding contributions and impact of human civilization in the world. Their dialogue showed containment and diversity. That would certainly product enormous power for each other’s rich,promotion and development.That also would certainly product far-reaching influence for implement the national strategy “One Belt And One Road” and improve international exchange in the economic,society and culture.Sincerely wished the conference would have a complete success.
Shuxiang Liu deputy director pointed out that the conference was hui studiesin cooperation with universities for the first time since 1998 ,the conference had novel form and hoped to take this opportunity through the dialogue with Studies of Yellow River to promote the hui studies in the country and to make a greater contribution in the strategy “One Belt And One Road”.
Ruiqin Jia, director of the Ethnic Affairs Commission of Henan Province, in the hope that the forum played a leading role to the development of Henan national enterprises, promoted the Hui studies “politics””production” “learning””researching””using” integration development, explored how to do a good job of ethnic religion and provided intellectual support and talent support for the ethnic affairs of Henan province under the new situation .
Fayuan Gao President said that the Chinese Civilization and Islamic Civilization are two different civilization system ,being similar in many ways,Islamic countries are the major supports of China’s “One Belt And One Road” strategy, Our country’s strategy needed participation of Islamic culture.
After the opening ceremony,under the common witness of leaders and experts，the organizer held the ceremony of the “Institute of Hui Studies”in the opening conference。Junjian Sun vice president，Fayuan Gao chairman jointly set up the Institute of Hui Studies，this indicated that more than 1.2 million people of Hui Nationality in Henan have had a high-end academic research platform, which is groundbreaking and a milestone .In the conference，Fayuan Gao，the president of Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China, was appointed as the honorary director the institute,Zhenhua Hu ，researcher of Euro-Asian Social Development Research Institute Development Research center，The State council of P.R.C and professor of Minzu University of China，was appointed as consultant，Dr.Shaowei Ai ,The Key Research Institute of Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development of Henan University，was appointed as the director of the institute，meanwhile，the institute hired Yongzhen Ma、Kejia Ding、Ping Ma、Zunjie Li、Gui Bai、Shoujiang Mi、Hong Ding、Shijie Pan、Yu Zhang、Xianlong Xu、Wenjiong Yang、Qiang Ma、Jingjun Shui、Lei Wan、Xudong Huang、Qiang Hu、 Yongshan Ba、Zhongbao Qian and so on，a number of domestic famous hui scholars and local government leaders for guest researcher.

“Study on education and development characteristics of Henan hui nationality”(Shijie Pan，Henan Academy of Social Sciences)、“The world expansion of the Chinese civilization order: from cosmopolitanism to inclusive globalization”(Changhong Miao Henan University)、“Thoughts on Several Issues of Building Muslim International Tourist Destinations in Ningxia”（Xiangming Liang Ningxia University）、“Anthropological Interpretation of the Sinicization of Islam”(Qiang Ma，Shanxi Normal University)、“Localization: Islamic Civilization in the Yellow River Basin”(Yingjie Ma Northwest Minzu University)、“The joy and worry of the publication of Islamic cultural Chinese books”(Xiaozhi Ma，Hebei University)“National strategy and discipline development— In the background of 'One Belt And One Road', hui nationality has expanded and surpassed.”(Zhengli Ha，South-Central University for Nationalities)、“The path of interdisciplinary integration between hui and the Yellow River: historical reconstruction, space reconstruction and cultural identity”(Shaowei Ai，Henan University),In combination with its own years of research and practice, the dialogues around the Yellow River civilization and Islamic civilization, as well as its contribution, status and role in the “One Belt and One Road”,the sinicization and localization of Islam, the scripture hall education of the Hui nationality in the Yellow River area, and the inheritance and development of the Hui culture,National strategic and disciplinary development, interdisciplinary integration of Hui studies,studies of Yellow River , publication of Hui research achievements, and other topics, in-depth discussions on the development achievements, problems, and development directions of Hui studies, Hui studies, and The Feasibility, Route and Significance of Interdisciplinary Integration of the "studies of Yellow River".On the afternoon of November 5th, three group discussions were held on topics such as “Culture, Inheritance and Development”, “Opportunity, Challenges and Urbanization”, and “Borderland, History and Ethnicity”.In addition, the conference had set up a special discussion on the theme of “Construction of Hui Studies” in order to promote the development of disciplines through the interaction of “politics”, “production”, “learning”, “researching” and “using”.Shoujiang Mi ,Gui Bai , Zhongbao Qian, Yu Zhang , and Zhiming He talked about the research status, problems, opportunities, development directions, and paths of the Hui studies ,this led to heated discussions among the participants.Everyone unanimously agreed that the development of Hui studies need the cooperation of all fields and disciplines;how to raise the level of research and to be able to exert influence on "expressing learning" required the awareness of problems. It also required international perspectives and multi-disciplinary theoretical support. There must be theoretical discussions among different ethnic scholars from different perspectives;To break the self-talking closed situation, based on the cultural features of Hui culture that was based on the blending and integration of Islamic Civilization and Huaxia Civilization, the Hui studies was placed in the context of the world and China to form a dialogue and open research mechanism,publishing high-level academic achievements to truly enhance the research level of Hui studies.

After the report of the conference on the morning of November 6th,Zengjie Li , the vice president of Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China and the librarian of the Henan Provincial History and History Center, presided over the closing ceremony of the conference.First of all, Fayuan Gao , President of the Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China,fully affirmed the breakthrough and achievements made in this conference, and outlined the strategic blueprint and implementation path of the development of the Hui studies from the height of the development of the discipline.He believed that the deep development of the study of Hui nationality had created conditions for the formation of the Hui discipline, and the establishment of the Hui discipline needed one construction targets, two research platforms, two databases and three stages, namely, "one two two three" major project:the development of Hui disciplines needed to be based on the developed areas of the Hui nationality in the western part of China, and the pivotal region of the national “One Belt and One Road” strategy, Henan Province, as the fulcrum, to drive the northeast and east coast regions.Next, Prof.Hong Ding , vice president and Secretary Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China and professor of Minzu University of China, summarized the seminar.Prof. Ding gave a brief overview of the course of the conference and concisely pointed out the four “bright spots and features” of the conference, that was, the first cooperative association of the Hui society and the University, the establishment and breakthrough of the Hui Research Institute, the theme Seminar on "the construction of Hui studies", the combination of theoretical research and the forefront of learning.At the same time, he emphasized the importance of field research for thesis and research, especially for the social arguments, pan-Arabization, pan-Arabization, and other practical issues that required a scientific perspective from a theoretical perspective.At last,vice president Zengjie Li declared the successful conclusion of this conference!
Since 2009, the Annual High-End Forum of the Studies of Yellow River had been held once a year,and achieved a wide range of academic impact, receiving extensive support from academic circles both at home and abroad.This conference was the first dialogue between Studies of Yellow River and "Hui nationality". It was also the first Huizu Studies Association of Ethnological of China and the local colleges and universities. The participants agreed with the Islamic culture of the Hui , the pluralism and inclusiveness of the the Yellow River Civilization, and combine the theoretical research with the academic frontiers, closely linked to the development of the times and carry out the Yellow River Civilization, Cross civilization and interdisciplinary dialogue between "River Civilization" and "Islamic Civilization", "the Yellow River studies" and "Hui studies".In today's world, the prevalence of terrorism and the clash of Civilizations "The Belt and Road" national strategy emphasizes the integration of Chinese civilization and the Islamic civilization background, it has very important practical significance of the meeting, and it will significantly enhance the "Hui", "the Yellow River" two comprehensive disciplines overall level of research, thus speeding up Study on the construction of the international network of interdisciplinary research, broaden the research Chinese Hui International Road, eventually serving the development along the Yellow River and the Central Plains area of the Hui , provided important theoretical support for the national implementation of the "The Belt and Road" strategy.
