Abstract：This paper uses Spatial Panel Durbin model to make an empirical analysis on the effect of knowledge spillovers.Then, it uses geographically weighted regression model to make an empirical analysis on the space-time evolution characteristics of local knowledge spillover effects on economic growth in China. Result shows that, the spillover effect of patent grants and R&D investment on the economic growth of adjacent provinces is positive. And the contributions of spatial knowledge spillover to regional economic growth gradually decrease from the east to the west. But, with the development of economic, difference of knowledge spillover effect among regions is narrowing.
